Former Model

Whether walking the catwalk as a designer’s favorite bride, telling viewers about the pleasures of Sabritas, Pepsi or showing off her best downward dog for Yoga magazine, the stunning, Mexico City-born Elsa Chahin has conquered all mediums in the worlds of modeling and hosting. Indeed, with more than 30 television commercials to her credit, including for Volkswagen, Levis, Old Spice and Pantene – one look at her lustrous locks says it all – Ms. Chahin is a compelling and welcoming presence in front of the camera.

Ms. Chahin has also graced newspapers and magazine covers such as ERES, CELULAR and Moda Moldes, while her appearances in print ads, including those for Diet Coca Cola, the Mexican Secretary of Tourism and IUSA Cell, have also been seen by millions.

Co-hosting 40 episodes of Mexico’s favorite cable TV cooking show, “La Cena,” Ms. Chahin, alongside celebrities and chefs of five-star restaurants, prepared delectable dishes for viewers throughout the country. The bi-lingual beauty then conducted lively, informative and entertaining interviews with celebrities as they enjoyed such delicious dishes as trout almandine, chicken with mole and Spanish tapas to name a few.

With her sultry presence, Ms. Chahin not only wowed top Mexican and international designers, but audiences, as well, during her years as a fashion runway model, often closing the show clad in the couturiers’ coveted bridal gown. In addition to touring her home country as a model for various high-end brands, Ms. Chahin was a semifinalist of “La modelo del año 1992” (“The Model of the Year”), as part of the Supermodel of the World competition. Sponsored by the Ford Agency and the Mexican multimedia company, Televisa, with the renowned Gerry and Eileen Ford serving as judges, the prestigious and hugely popular event was filmed among several locations, at the Puerto Vallarta home of the late Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
